This is a project I planned years ago but am finally starting to execute–to build a miniature Queen Anne Victorian house from scratch. Unlike a traditional dollhouse, which tends to have a row of backless rooms, I have planned an actual house, with openCider12_2012-03-08ings in the walls of two of the sides so you can peek in.

Since I have never built miniatures or houses before, you will have to bear with me, as I will be experimenting as I go along.

Please enjoy.

This is the coolest blog! Looks like you’re off to a great start, I can’t wait to see what comes next. I hope I can steal a few decorating ideas!

    • Ha! Great minds must think alike…I was looking at your bedroom photo and wondering if I could decorate one of the bedrooms like that. πŸ˜‰ Although, yours seems more Italianate style and mine is more of a Queen Anne…

  5. Hello again, I am cleaning out some of my old dollhouse furniture kits and such and was wondering if you would like them. I could send you them if you want. I have old Xacto miniature kits and some other do it yourself stuff. I was just going to take it to the local thrift store but figured you could use them seeing how huge your house is going to be. Let me know, and we can discuss offline. Rin aka Tiny Hippo
