Kept going with the floorboards this evening.
More than two thirds of the way done with that center section. Here’s the result so far.
The little red toy plane is on the table because my two-year old boy was looking at the house this afternoon and he said, “I live in this house.” He pointed out that his room (the nursery) was upstairs, as was his bed. He said he goes downstairs to the kitchen to eat at the kitchen table in the morning. And that he plays with his toys in the drawing room. So we put a toy there to make it real. I love that he’s starting to really enjoy the house.
Good night.
How sweet that your son is captivated by this miniature world and sees himself in it!
It’s a rather new development…and such an inspiration to keep going!
Little kids can easily relate to tiny spaces which is why they enjoy making forts under the dining room table as well as tree houses and tents! Good for you in encouraging your son to “live” in your doll’s house with you, because it makes it much more fun for both of you!
and-
your parlor floor is picking up speed and looking Good! 😀
I love that ability to see himself in the house! And yes toy the small spaces…I made tent for him under the piano and he loves ‘reading’ under there.
Hi Juliette! Nice to read again about your progresses in your house. I like the borders on the floor very much. They give an extra toch to the room.
I read your son is already two years old! Times goes too fast….
A big hug!
Ersilia
Ciao, Ersila! So wonderful to hear from you again! Yes, he’s almost two and a half now. Amazing how those first two years go so quickly…and so slowly assert the same time! I must go see what you’ve been up to onto your blog when I find some extra time.
Unfortunately I didn’t make a lot… but I’m slowly catching up 🙂
