Long day, so not much energy to work on the house..but I did make a decision about the bathroom lights.
After moving the sink and the mirror to the left and taking a photo holding the sconces in place on each side of the mirror so I could see what it looked like, I decided that was really the only way it would make sense.
So I made another hole in the wall and ran some wires through. The actual lamp wires are still on the outside because I need to run them through the wall tiles when I put them on…which I can’t do until I fix one of the lamps, since I managed to pull out one of the wires over the past couple days…
My trusty work companion was not very responsive to my need for him to fetch a soldering iron (not that I own one)…
…so instead I trimmed the ceiling so it fits now. I need to finish painting the back corner and it’ll need some wood putty to fill the gaps because, like in all old houses, the room is no longer completely square.
As I said, not much work done, but here is this side of the house for now…when I get my 9V power strip, I’ll be able to put more than one light on at a time.
More time tomorrow, hopefully.
Good night.
You and your work amaze me!
Awww…thanks, Pam! It’s being getting me through these miserable grey winter days…
I just discovered your blog. I was impressed by the accuracy of your work and the design of the structure.
You’re doing a great job. I will follow you with interest…

Molto grazie. Il mio italiano non e perfetto, ma il tuo blog e anche bello. Mi piace la tua cucina.
Grazie anche a te!
How does it come that you speak Italian?
Ho studiato italiano nel’universitat. Suonava il piano and I accompanied a lot of opera singers. I learned Italian because I loved the language and in order to be able to coach them in their arias. It made me good money when I was in undergrad. I can still understand fine, but as you can see, my production of Italian is a little rusty.
I love the projects you give yourself and accomplish on your site. I will need to take the time when I am home to peruse the rest of your entries.
I may get a couple tips from you as well…this is my first attempt at anything miniature and I’m still learning.
Ciao!
Juliette
I am a novice, too! My daughter and I started two years ago.
Surfing in internet is really usefull. You meet many talented people and you learn a lot from the others. Having a blog helps as well, plus you are “forced” to proceed with your project in a constant way.
Don’t worry about your Italian… I haven’t jet translated the first part of my blog, so you will be able to do a lot of exercise! 🙂 And don’t worry, if you have questions, I can help you.
I think the way you assemble the rooms is really interesting. I’m curious to see the whole project…
A presto… e con piacere!
